UK police said on September 24 that a West Sussex man has been arrested in connection with a cyberattack over the weekend that disrupted airport check-in systems across Europe.

The incident targeted Collins Aerospace, a company owned by RTX, which supplies key airport technology.

The disruption forced major European airports, including Heathrow and Berlin, into chaos, leaving thousands of passengers facing delays and cancellations.

According to the National Crime Agency (NCA), a man in his 40s was arrested on September 23 on suspicion of offences under the Computer Misuse Act. He has since been released on conditional bail while investigations continue.
