Alyssa Healy is my favourite Australian: KKR's Venkatesh Iyer

Speaking after the title win, Venkatesh made the comment which had Starc laughing and he pretended to walk off.

KKR's Venkatesh Iyer decided to snub Mitchell Starc and claimed that Alyssa Healy is his favourite Australian at the moment following their title win against SRH on Sunday, May 26. Starc is married to Healy, who is the captain of the Australian women's cricket team at the moment.

She had joined up with the KKR camp mid-way through the tournament.

Speaking after the title win, Venkatesh made the comment which had Starc laughing and he pretended to walk off. The KKR batter would say that Healy had to leave before the final and had sent her best wishes to the side before the match on Sunday.

"Alyssa is my most favourite Australian right now and not Mitch Starc. He is No.2."

"It's good to have your family around on such a big occasion. Unfortunately, Alyssa had to leave. We spoke with her before the game and she sent across her wishes," said Venkatesh.
