Germany’s Scholz rejects Trump’s Gaza plan

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz says his country completely opposes mass displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.

“What President Trump put on the table gets a total rejection from me,” he told a campaign event in Ludwigsburg, western Germany.

“We cannot resettle the population of Gaza to Egypt and Jordan. That is not ok.”

Trump said yesterday that Israel would hand over Gaza to the US after fighting was over and the enclave’s population was already resettled elsewhere. People of Gaza have categorically rejected to ever leave the enclave.
