Allu Arjun on Balakrishna's show: National Awards often excluded Telugu actors

The 42-year-old shared that he had been trying to win a National Award for a long time and Pushpa helped him achieve the same.

Actor Allu Arjun is going to appear in fellow actor Nandamuri Balakrishna's show, Unstoppable. The promo of the show was recently shared online by the makers, and it featured the Pushpa star talking about winning his first National Award as the best actor.

The actor, who is now gearing up for the release of Pushpa 2, mentioned how he would feel irked by the lack of recognition for the Telugu film industry at the National Awards. When Balayya, as he is popularly called, asked Allu Arjun to share his views about winning the prestigious award for the first time, he credited it to the Telugu film industry.

The 42-year-old shared that he had been trying to win a National Award for a long time and Pushpa helped him achieve the same. The actor said, "In the history of National Awards, no Telugu actor has ever won. I was hurt to see that. That's when I decided to win it."
