Meanwhile, countries criticised major polluters for their lack of action against global warming ahead of the two-week UN climate summit, COP28, which is set to commence on November 29 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

He stated that while the transition from fossil fuels to renewables is underway, it is lagging by decades due to resistance and greed from entrenched interests profiting from fossil fuels.
