Four US senators reached an agreement with the Trump administration to update legislation imposing tougher sanctions on Russia amid its intensified attacks in Ukraine. The bipartisan bill targets countries buying Russian energy, aiming to pressure Moscow to negotiate peace. 

Senator Lindsey Graham, who met Ukrainian President Zelenskyy in Kyiv, said the bill would become law and provide tools to end the war. Zelenskyy welcomed the support, emphasizing stronger sanctions increase chances for diplomacy. Trump's recent meeting with Zelenskyy marked improved US-Ukraine relations.
