Hezbollah rejected a US-mediated ceasefire plan agreed by Lebanon and Israel, condemning it as detrimental to Lebanese people. The conflict reignited on March 2, with continued Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, where Israel refuses to withdraw until Hezbollah stops firing and evacuates fighters near the border.

Hezbollah's leader insists resistance will continue unless Israeli forces leave southern Lebanon, demanding Israeli withdrawal to pre-war positions. The war complicates regional diplomacy, with Tehran backing Hezbollah and demanding Israel cease attacks.
