United Kingdom Provides 890,000 Dollars to Sri Lanka

The British High Commission in Colombo has announced an immediate aid contribution of 890,000 dollars to support humanitarian relief efforts in Sri Lanka through the International Red Cross, UN agencies in Sri Lanka, and other humanitarian partners.
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office stated that it is providing essential assistance to save lives, offer shelter, and supply clean drinking water and medical items to affected individuals.
As Sri Lanka faces a severe disaster caused by floods and landslides triggered by Cyclone , several international countries and organizations have expressed solidarity and are providing humanitarian assistance.
A post on the official X page of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office stated that the UK stands with the people of Sri Lanka affected by Cyclone .
It also noted the continued support to humanitarian partners delivering lifesaving aid, shelter, clean water, and medical assistance.
