The Ambassador of Switzerland to Sri Lanka met Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at Temple Trees.

The Prime Minister shared her experiences from attending the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, noting that high-level bilateral meetings and factory visits held alongside the forum had provided significant momentum for strengthening Sri Lanka’s economic engagement.

Discussions focused on Switzerland’s vocational education and training model, with both sides exploring opportunities for cooperation and knowledge sharing.

The Prime Minister also appreciated Switzerland’s assistance following the ‘Tithva’ cyclone and emphasized the need for technical support in rebuilding bridges and railway infrastructure.
