President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced that Sri Lanka is ready to provide assistance for rescue and rehabilitation operations in Nepal following the devastating floods that have struck the country.

In a post on X, the President said: “I am deeply saddened by the news of the loss of lives caused by the devastating floods in Nepal. As a country that recovered from a deadly cyclone just 10 months ago, we share the grief of the people of Nepal. Sri Lanka joins me in extending its deepest condolences to the President, Prime Minister and people of Nepal.”
