Sri Lanka President thanks PM Modi

Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Dec 3 thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for India’s rapid assistance following Cyclone Ditwah, calling it a reflection of the “enduring goodwill” between the two neighbours.

In a post on X, Dissanayake said he “sincerely appreciated” Modi’s message and India’s “steadfast support” in the wake of the extreme weather disaster. “India’s prompt assistance under the SAGAR-BANDHU initiative underscores the depth of our partnership and the enduring goodwill between our nations,” he wrote.
