SLPP Plans to Regain Power by 2029, Says Party Spokesperson

Sanjiva Ethiriman, spokesperson for Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), announced that dissidents who left the party will soon reunite and party leadership positions will be restructured.
He stated the SLPP plans to take power in 2029.
Speaking on the current political situation, he said former senior members who left the party during the recent presidential and general elections have agreed to rejoin.
A meeting between these former members and National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa took place last week.
Efforts to consolidate the party continue, with preparations underway for the 2029 electoral victory.
