23-Aug-2025.

The Presidential Special Commission of Inquiry established to probe alleged corruption and malpractice in Sri Lanka’s aviation sector has called for complaints and suggestions from the public.
The commission, set up under a Cabinet decision dated July 1, 2025 (ref. no. 25/1145/801/018), will investigate irregularities in Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited and SriLankan Airlines.
According to a statement from the Commission, both employees and members of the public are encouraged to share evidence, complaints, or recommendations.
Interested individuals or organizations must submit their requests by September 5, 2025, either via email at psicairport@gmail.com or by contacting 070-3307700 on WhatsApp to schedule a date and time for submissions.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake had earlier underscored the need for accountability in state-run and semi-state enterprises, noting that mismanagement and corruption in the aviation sector have cost the nation heavily over the years.
