New Bihar government to take oath Nov 20

The new NDA government will take oath on November 20 at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. 

However, it remains unclear whether Nitish Kumar would take oath as the Chief Minister for a record tenth time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony as decks are being cleared for the formation of a new NDA government in Bihar. 

Notably, PM Modi had addressed over a dozen rallies during the Assembly poll campaign and promised to "be back for the swearing-in of a new NDA government".

Nitish Kumar, who has been backed by NDA allies to take charge of Bihar's top post again, will chair his last Cabinet meeting at 11:30 am. 

A decision will be approved to dissolve the Cabinet, following which Nitish Kumar will submit his resignation to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.
