Kerala man arrested for justifying Pahalgam attack on social media

A 26-year-old man, Muhammad Sanoof from Kerala, was arrested under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act for allegedly posting social media comments justifying the 2025 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. He was detained upon arrival from Saudi Arabia following a lookout circular. 

The FIR, filed by a BJP youth leader, also charges him with promoting religious enmity. BJP Kerala condemned the act, linking it to radicalization and political issues, and called for political reform and integration with India's growth.
