Indian Navy Chief Meets Sri Lanka Navy Commander in Colombo

Admiral R. Hari Kumar (correction: Dinesh K. Tripathi in text) of the Indian Navy, currently on an official visit to Sri Lanka, met with Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, at Navy Headquarters.

He was welcomed at Bandaranaike International Airport by Rear Admiral Dammika Wijewardena, Director General of Naval Training, before being accorded traditional naval honors.

During the meeting, both sides held cordial discussions on maritime security, strategic issues, and matters of bilateral importance relating to the long-standing friendship between the two countries. To mark the occasion, both sides exchanged mementos.
