Deeply Saddened by Floods in Nepal: Minister Vijitha Herath

Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath has expressed his deep sadness over the people affected by the floods in Nepal’s Rasuwa district and other areas.

In a message posted on X, he said Sri Lanka stands fully in solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal as they face this challenging period.

“I extend my sympathies to all those affected, particularly the families and communities facing this difficult situation. I commend the efforts of the Nepalese authorities and all personnel engaged in relief and rescue operations,” he said.
