CM Vijay launches 'Singappen' all-women police force to prevent crimes

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay inaugurated Singappen, an all-women police force aimed at preventing crimes against women and children. Under his direct supervision, the force will address stalking, harassment, abductions, and violence, deploying 70 units with specialized training and modern tools like drones and body cameras. 

With over Rs 354 crore allocated and 2,545 new posts created, the initiative emphasizes preventive policing and women's safety as a government priority, linking crime reduction to combating drug abuse.
