Chief of Indian Air Force arrives in Sri Lanka on official visit

Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh arrived in Sri Lanka on a three-day official visit.

On May 19, he paid floral tributes at the Indian Peace Keeping Force memorial in Battaramulla. He was later received at Air Force Headquarters with a ceremonial guard of honour.

A formal meeting was subsequently held between the Air Force Chiefs of both countries. He also met the Deputy Minister of Defence and the Defence Secretary. The visit aims to further strengthen long-standing defence cooperation and bilateral friendship between the two countries.

During the visit, he is scheduled to tour the historic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy and meet the Army and Navy Commanders. He is expected to return on May 21.
