Aswesuma annual information update underway

The annual information update for the Aswesuma social welfare scheme has now commenced.
The Welfare Benefits Board states that all families and individuals who first registered in Aswesuma in 2023, whether currently receiving payments or not, must complete this update.
However, applicants who submitted appeals in 2024 are not required to update their information, as their data has already been sent for review, the Board clarified.
When reconfirming information, it is essential to have the national identity cards of family members and an active mobile phone number.
Those with internet access can visit https://eservices.wbb.gov.lk using a computer or smartphone, enter their HH number and NIC number as stated on the form, access the verification menu, and enter their household information.
Otherwise, they may submit the annual update form to the Welfare Benefits Division at the Divisional Secretariat either through the Grama Niladhari or by visiting the office directly.
The Board emphasized that all families and individuals included in the first phase of Aswesuma must participate in the update, and those who fail to do so will be deemed ineligible for benefits next year.
