The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration issued show cause notices to Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn, Shah Rukh Khan, and Tiger Shroff for allegedly endorsing Vimal Elaichi ads that serve as surrogate advertising for banned Vimal Pan Masala. 

The FDA accuses the ads of indirectly promoting a prohibited tobacco product under the Food Safety and Standards Act. 

This action reflects Maharashtra's strict crackdown on tobacco and pan masala promotion, enforcing penalties and legal measures against misleading advertisements and organized networks dealing in banned products.
