Cole Tomas Allen, 31, attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner in Washington, D.C. He fired a shotgun, injuring a Secret Service agent, before being captured. 

Allen faces multiple federal charges, including attempted assassination, illegal firearm transport, and discharging a weapon during a violent crime. 

He traveled from California, booked a nearby hotel room, and sent a manifesto detailing plans to target Trump and officials. The event caused panic, raising renewed concerns over political violence in the U.S.
