US Claims Responsibility for Iranian Vessel Sinking

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that an Iranian vessel was sunk in international waters using a torpedo launched from a US submarine. However, he did not officially identify the vessel.

Sri Lanka Navy confirmed that the Iranian warship IRIS Dena sank south of Sri Lanka on March 4.

While 32 survivors have been rescued, the fate of approximately 140 others remains unknown.

Investigations are ongoing.
