Seven-month-old Palestinian baby killed after Israeli army fires at family car

A seven-month-old Palestinian baby, Sam Fahd Abu Haikal, was killed and his parents wounded after Israeli troops opened fire on their vehicle in the occupied West Bank. The family was traveling near Hebron when soldiers, perceiving a threat, fired shots. 

The baby died from a bullet that passed through both his face and his mother's. The Israeli military is reviewing the incident amid heightened tensions following the October 2023 Gaza conflict, with concerns over accountability for civilian casualties in the region.
