Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles at a US military base in Jordan, marking the first direct strike since President Trump paused operations to pursue diplomacy. All missiles were intercepted with no casualties. The attack follows heightened US-Iran tensions, threatening the fragile diplomatic pause after a two-week bombing campaign against Iran was suspended. 

Concurrently, Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis claimed missile attacks on a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea, amid their maritime blockade enforcement, with no reported damage or injuries.
