R Ashwin registers for ILT20 auction after IPL retirement

Former India spinner R Ashwin has registered for the upcoming ILT20 auction. Earlier this month, the veteran announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he last represented Chennai Super Kings (CSK). 

In 2024, Ashwin brought the curtains down on his international career after the Boxing Day Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Following his retirement from Indian cricket, Ashwin is now looking to feature in overseas T20 leagues, beginning with the ILT20. 

The tournament, which has completed three editions so far, saw Dubai Capitals crowned champions in the latest season after defeating the Desert Vipers in the final.
