India, China set for first Corps Commander talks in Arunachal
07-Sep-2026.
India and China will hold Corps Commander-level talks at Wacha BMP in Arunachal Pradesh for the first time, addressing ongoing territorial disputes and military buildup along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Led by Lt Gen Girish Kalia, the meeting aims to enhance military communication and stability ahead of the BRICS Summit.
This follows boundary talks between NSA Ajit Doval and Chinese FM Wang Yi, where both sides agreed to progress negotiations, establish new military hotlines, and prevent border incidents from escalating, emphasizing peace in the eastern sector.
