MP Durairasa Ravikaran asked Parliament on March 6 when the government would address the grievances of families of the disappeared in the North and East, who have been protesting in Mullaitivu for nine years.

He highlighted that families continue to hope for the return of their missing relatives while being repeatedly disappointed by successive governments and international bodies, leading to suffering and deaths among relatives. 

He criticized the government for failing to deliver justice or uphold human rights for the disappeared.
