Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay wins trust vote with support of 144 MLAs

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has won the vote of confidence in the state legislative assembly. During the floor test, the resolution expressing confidence in the council of ministers was passed. Official numbers confirm that one hundred and forty-four members of the legislative assembly voted in favour of the motion. 

Meanwhile, twenty-two members opposed the resolution, and five legislators abstained from the voting process. 

Following the official counting, the assembly speaker announced the victory and congratulated the Chief Minister on securing the legislative majority. The speaker detailed the leader's transition from running fan clubs and conducting philanthropic activities, such as providing food and educational assistance to the poor, to achieving political success. 

The assembly proceedings concluded with the speaker stating expectations about the current administration providing governance for the state over the next five years and beyond.
