Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay announced a Rs 1,200-crore plan to revamp Chennai with a new integrated Secretariat-cum-Legislative Assembly complex, a world-class Olympic City, and a dedicated Motor Sports City. 

The complex will centralize government departments and meet future administrative needs, while the Olympic City aims to enhance athlete performance with advanced facilities. 

The Motor Sports City targets international racing events, including Formula 1, to boost sports tourism and the economy, positioning Chennai as a global governance and elite sports hub.
