Red Notices issued against 236 persons

Sri Lanka Police have stated that Red Notices have been issued through Interpol against 236 persons who are allegedly involved in organised crime and drug trafficking and who fled the country and are currently hiding overseas.

Of those against whom Red Notices have been issued, 96 have been identified as organised criminals.

Meanwhile, with the cooperation of Interpol, 37 suspects linked to various offences, including drug trafficking, have been brought back to Sri Lanka since February 2025.

Police further stated that, with the continued assistance of Interpol, a total of 42 persons have so far been arrested overseas and brought back to the country.
