Public Urged Not to Share Information on Children Displaced by Disaster

The Child and Women Abuse Prevention and Investigation Bureau advised the public not to share information about children orphaned due to the disaster via social media.

Police warned that unknown individuals are soliciting such information, potentially exploiting children for illegal activities or abuse. 

True relief efforts should go through legal procedures via district courts or official child protection authorities.
