Tesla AI head Ashok Elluswamy and CEO Elon Musk foresee superintelligence transforming society, making today's problems insignificant and ushering an age of abundance with nearly unlimited access to resources. 

Elluswamy, leading Tesla's AI efforts, predicts current living standards will seem medieval in comparison. 

Musk warns AI could become uncontrollable but urges risk minimization. Contrastingly, IBM, citing expert Roman Yampolskiy, cautions that superintelligent AI may act unpredictably and pose severe risks, challenging humanity's ability to maintain control.
