Professor Kumaravadivel Appointed Vice Chancellor of University of Jaffna

Professor E. Kumaravadivel has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Jaffna by the President, under Section 32 of the Universities Act, for a term of five years.

The appointment letter was handed over by Presidential Secretary Dr. N. S. Kumanayake.

The tenure of the former Vice Chancellor, Emeritus Professor C. Pathmanathan, concluded in March this year. Professor Kumaravadivel officially assumed duties as Vice Chancellor on 27 August 2025.
