President Holds Bilateral Talks with Prime Minister of Australia

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on 24 September (U.S. time) at the Office of Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York for bilateral discussions.

President Dissanayake extended a warm welcome to Prime Minister Albanese. The discussions focused on expanding economic and trade cooperation, strengthening bilateral relations, boosting tourism, and exploring new investments and market opportunities.

Foreign Minister Vijith Herath, Permanent Representative Jayantha Jayasuriya, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present at the meeting.
