The BJP-led NDA is poised to retain power in the next Lok Sabha elections with an estimated 326 seats, despite a decline from previous forecasts. The Congress-led INDIA bloc shows modest gains, predicted at 185 seats. 

The BJP faces challenges from Gen Z voters and recent education sector controversies leading to a ministerial resignation. Meanwhile, Congress, under Rahul Gandhi, gains momentum. 

The findings stem from the August 2026 India Today-CVoter Mood of the Nation survey, based on over 25,000 direct interviews and extensive tracking data.
