Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu to visit Sri Lanka

Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka this weekend, during which several bilateral agreements will be signed between the two countries.

The visit follows an invitation extended by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. President Muizzu will arrive on May 3 and remain in the country until May 5.

During the visit, he is expected to hold discussions with President Dissanayake, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, and other senior government officials on matters of mutual interest.

Several Memoranda of Understanding are expected to be signed, including agreements on defence training cooperation, education sector development, and academic collaboration between universities and ministries of both countries.
