The Maldives government has decided to provide Sri Lanka with USD 50,000 in financial assistance and 25,000 boxes of canned tuna.

According to the Maldivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the aid is a gesture of solidarity with its close neighbour, intended to support humanitarian and relief efforts in response to the widespread devastation caused by Cyclone Dithva.

The Maldives government expressed hope that this modest contribution will support Sri Lanka’s relief operations. It also reflects the deep commitment to the close ties shared between the two nations and their people.
