JVP delegation led by Tilvin Silva visits Delhi; holds meetings at BJP invitation

A four-member delegation led by Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) General Secretary Tilvin Silva visited Delhi on September 26, 2026. The visit is reported to have taken place at the invitation of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

According to sources in Delhi, the visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The delegation led by Tilvin Silva is scheduled to remain in Delhi for four days and is expected to meet and hold discussions with the BJP leadership and other key figures.

It is also reported that Tamil-speaking representatives, including MP Adhampawa and Kapilan Sundaramurthy, are part of the delegation.

It is noteworthy that a delegation led by Tilvin Silva had earlier visited Beijing from June 9 to 19 last year at the invitation of the Communist Party of China.
