IMF Ready to Support Sri Lanka’s Recovery; Managing Director

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva expressed deep concern for Sri Lanka and other countries severely affected by recent floods. 

She stated that the IMF stands ready to provide necessary support for recovery and reconstruction.

In an official X post, she noted concern for Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam, which have all experienced severe flooding. 

She extended condolences to those who lost their lives and reaffirmed the IMF’s readiness to support recovery efforts.
