MP Jeevan Thondaman emphasized that the government must assume responsibility for communities living in plantation estates, in line with cabinet decisions from the previous administration.

Speaking in Parliament on March 5 during the International Women’s Day discussion, he highlighted inequities in access to pre-schools in hill country plantations and urged attention to wage increases for plantation workers.
