Government Medical Officers to Launch Trade Union Action

The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has decided to launch trade union action on November 17. 

The decision is in protest against the failure of the President’s 2026 Budget proposals to adequately address issues related to healthcare services and the concerns of medical professionals.

Although the government had been informed of these issues, no favourable response was received, prompting the union to proceed with the planned trade union action, the GMOA said.
