According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Labour, the conference will be held from June 1 to June 12 and will bring together representatives of governments, employers and workers from ILO member states.

The main theme of this year's conference is advancing social justice and promoting sustainable employment.

Discussions are expected to focus on a range of issues, including employment opportunities in the digital economy, gender equality in the workplace, strengthening social dialogue, and enhancing cooperation among governments, employers and workers.

The Ministry stated that Sri Lanka's participation will provide an opportunity to share experiences on international labour standards, contribute to global discussions on emerging labour challenges, and highlight the country's efforts to promote fair working conditions, social justice and sustainable economic development.
