China Ready to Work with President Anura Kumara – President Xi Jinping

Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that he is prepared to work closely with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to deepen the strategic partnership between China and Sri Lanka and build a community with a shared future for mutual benefit.

This was conveyed in a congratulatory message sent on 4 February to mark Sri Lanka’s 78th Independence Day. President Xi recalled President Dissanayake’s official visit to China in January 2025, noting productive discussions and broad consensus reached during the visit.
