6 fishermen missing off Visakhapatnam coast, massive search underway

Six fishermen from a fishing boat that developed mechanical faults in the Bay of Bengal off Visakhapatnam are missing since July 3. The vessel, carrying seven fishermen, encountered rough weather despite warnings. 

A large-scale rescue operation involving the Indian Coast Guard, Navy, police, and state authorities is underway. Andhra Pradesh officials, including the Chief Minister and Home Minister, are closely monitoring and coordinating the efforts amid challenging conditions, assuring support to the fishermen's families.
