15 monkeys killed, 80 seriously injured after suspected poisoning in Telangana

As many as 15 monkeys were killed, with nearly 80 more seriously injured after an alleged poisoning at a dhaba beside the highway in Telangana's Kamareddy district.

The surviving monkeys were found in a critical condition, unable to even walk. The bodies of those dead were scattered in the surrounding regions. 

Seeing the situation, locals immediately informed the village sarpanch and a veterinary doctor, who rushed to the spot and provided necessary treatment to the surviving monkeys.

Locals alleged that the monkeys were brought to the dhaba by unknown persons, who then deliberately poisoned the animals.
