Pakistan has reportedly expanded its military support to Saudi Arabia by deploying around 8,000 troops and using Pakistan Air Force jets in strikes against Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, under the newly activated Mecca Defence Alliance with Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

While Pakistan denies direct air involvement, the move signifies deeper engagement in the Middle East conflict, balancing Riyadh ties against cautious Iran relations. This marks a shift from Pakistan's previous non-combat stance in the Yemen war.
