Tamil Nadu digitises land-use approvals

Tamil Nadu Housing Minister B Rajkumar announced measures to digitize land-use applications, expand self and third-party building certification, and raise local approval limits to speed housing projects. The government will reconstruct 12,648 dilapidated flats, renovate 41,664 older units, and upgrade civic infrastructure. A Smart Habitat Management Platform will be launched. 

Primary cooperative housing borrowers will receive interest waivers, easing financial burdens. These initiatives aim to modernize urban housing, streamline governance, and provide relief to housing allottees in Tamil Nadu.
