Justice (Retired) V.K. Malalgoda Appointed Chairman of Human Rights Commission

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Justice (Retired) V.K. Malalgoda as the new Chairman of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka.

The President has also appointed S.Y.M. Gomes, A.L.A. Azeez, T.H. Jayawardena and T. Jayasingam as members of the Commission.

The new Chairman and other members were formally appointed by Presidential Secretary Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the Presidential Secretariat on October 30.
