23-May-2026.
RCMP in southwest Nova Scotia have charged a 29-year-old man with murder as part of the investigation into the disappearance last month of Steven Boudreau, 61.
Police said in a news release on May 21 that Cody Reid Palmer of Torbrook, N.S., has been charged with first-degree murder in Boudreau's death.
Boudreau was reported missing on April 19 from Hopewell in Pictou County. Police said on May 21 his remains have been recovered, although a news release did not indicate where or when.
RCMP said last month that officers had found a Honda Accord in Kings County that they believed was Boudreau’s.
Palmer was arrested on May 20. He is being held in custody and will next appear in provincial court in Kentville on June 16.
